- I discovered professional wrestling on TV during the latter part of November,1961.At that time the TV shows featuring the wrestlers of Jim Crockett Promotions were known either as All Star Wrestling or Championship Wrestling,hence the name of this site.This site is dedicated to professional wrestling events held in North Carolina,South Carolina,Virginia, West Virginia and the eastern part of Tennessee.The main focus will be from the 1930's through the 1960's, with occasional events from other timeframes.I hope you will enjoy seeing photos,ads and articles from this era.The material used here comes from my own collection unless otherwise noted.All other contributors will receive credit in the posts which their material appears.
